The Maids of Jubilee took to the streets of downtown Fairhope last night with a rolling tableau titled "On the Wild Side". As usual, the annual 'temporary' floats were designed by me, and built by Craig Stephens and Carnival Artists.
Initially, when the theme idea was presented, I mistakenly thought of actual 'party animals' in whimsical situations, and rendered the rough thumbnail drawings accordingly. Obviously, they didn't want their animals to be THAT wild...!
