Krewe of King Arthur

 This year, I was asked to design a poster for the New Orleans-based KREWE of KING ARTHUR,  a popular  parade (9th Largest!) over in our sister city to the West!
 I figured the King and his Court celebrating the 300th Anniversary of the Founding of the City of New Orleans in a 'First-Line' parade, marching joyously as they play their Jazz instruments. Hand-rendered line-art was scanned and digitally manipulated. Final product below.

According to "Inside the Magic", 87-Year-old former Imagineer Bill Watkins, designer of Disneyland's "SPACE MOUNTAIN", recently took his 'Last Ride' on the iconic attraction.

MYSTIC STRIPERS Celebrate Mobile Mardi Gras History

The MYSTIC STRIPERS hit the streets tonight with a rolling tableau featuring themes from MOBILE MARDI GRAS History. The parade features about 7 or 8 permanent floats, and 10 "theme" floats featuring pivotal figures, events, organizations and traditional Mobile lore.

LaSHEs To Go On UNDERWATER FANTASEA

 The Order of La Shes, rained out last night, were scheduled to roll this evening with --appropriately-- a nautical theme of "Underwater Fantaseas", featuring floats designed by me and built by Craig Stephens and his crew at Carnival Artists.
Fittingly, it looks like it will be wet out during the parade. Wrap up!

The Mobile Mystics celebrate their 25th Anniversary tonight, are parading right now-- as I type-- and, due to past computer issues, I was unable to save clear images of all of the float drawings.

Their theme is "Silver Anniversary", featuring silver-related subjects
